Manteca Church of God
Nine and a half feet of scripture in black acrylic under a cross, mounted to the church gable so the invitation reads from the sidewalk.
About This Project
Manteca Church of God worships in a small stone-and-stucco building at 149 South St in Manteca. The congregation wanted the front gable — blank white board-and-batten above the entry — to carry the line from Isaiah that defines the church: A House of Prayer for All People.
We router-cut the phrase from eighth-inch black acrylic in a classic serif, 114¾ inches wide and 7⅜ inches tall, with a 12-by-17½-inch cross centered above it. Because the gable is lightweight siding rather than masonry, the letters are mounted flush with double-sided tape and silicone — no fasteners, no penetrations — and set from a lift in a single visit.
Flat-cut acrylic is the right answer when a church wants dignified, permanent lettering without an illuminated sign. See a similar approach at The Reconditioned Church in Tracy. If your building has a blank gable, we’ll put the words on it.
