The Reconditioned Church

A congregation moving into a former retail suite: an illuminated capsule sign on the fascia, the church logo printed on the sanctuary wall, and a feather flag out front to say “we’re here.”

About This Project

The Reconditioned Church took over Suite 145 at 1005 East Pescadero Ave in Tracy, a storefront in a shopping center that still wore the previous congregation’s name. They needed a full identity change — outside, inside, and at the curb — on a budget that made sense for a growing church.

The main sign is a 156-inch illuminated capsule: the cross-and-wordmark logo cut as a single face-lit channel letter shape with 3-inch black returns and trim caps over white aluminum backs, faces printed in translucent 3M vinyl so the purple-and-blue gradient glows at night from white LEDs inside. It’s mounted flush to the fascia with wall busters carrying the electrical to a remote power supply. Inside, a 100-by-56-inch printed wall graphic of the church logo and its “Repair · Restore · Rebuild” line anchors the front wall of the sanctuary, and a double-sided printed feather flag on a spike base marks the entrance from the parking lot.

Churches in leased retail space have the same signage needs as any storefront — plus a wall inside that sets the tone for the room. If your congregation is moving into a new building in the Central Valley, we’ll handle the fascia, the flag, and the sanctuary wall in one visit.
