Yosemite Foods

Yosemite Foods, a Stockton meat company, refreshed the front of its building with new gray stucco, a red standing-seam awning, white columns and a paved courtyard with planters and a granite ball fountain. The entrance needed a sign that matched the brand and made the building's purpose clear to anyone crossing the courtyard, so the renovated front would look finished and unmistakably theirs.

The sign reproduces the company badge: a stretched hexagon in deep navy, outlined in red with a thin white inner border, with a red star at the top and YOSEMITE FOODS in white capital letters, FOODS set smaller beneath. It is mounted on the raised parapet directly above the glass entry doors, centered over the awning so it lines up with the doors, the fountain and the walkway across the courtyard. Against the light gray stucco, the navy and red read clearly from across the courtyard.

For a manufacturer, the front office is where customers, buyers and new hires form a first impression. A clean logo sign in the company's own colors, placed on the building's center line, gives a renovated facade a clear focal point.
