St. Francis Anglican Church
Non-illuminated flat-cut acrylic letters for St. Francis Anglican Church on North Pershing Avenue in Stockton, set across the gray board-and-batten fascia above the church's stained-glass windows.
About This Project
St. Francis Anglican Church meets in a single-story building on North Pershing Avenue, set back behind a lawn and mature trees. Its long gray fascia carried nothing but the 5401 address, so drivers passing on Pershing had no way of knowing a church was inside, even with stained glass behind the dark storefront windows.
We fabricated the letters from 1/2-inch acrylic as flat-cut-out letters: ST. FRANCIS in white serif capitals, with Anglican Church in blue serif type beneath. Our service team installed each letter individually, flush-mounted to the wall with studs and silicone, centered on the fascia above the stained-glass windows. The white reads crisply against the gray siding, and the traditional serif type suits a church without needing lighting or a sign cabinet.
Non-illuminated letters are a simple, lasting choice for churches and community buildings. Flat-cut acrylic holds its color, needs no electrical work, and gives a plain facade a clear, dignified identity from the street.
