Modern Urgent Care

Modern Urgent Care provides urgent care, vaccines and patient education from a clinic on West Lane in Stockton, in a shopping center whose storefronts sit beneath a red clay tile roof. Its main sign had to go up on the parapet above that roof to be seen from the street, with the logo's cross telling drivers this is medical care. When the clinic began offering COVID-19 vaccines and rapid tests, it also wanted that news on the front doors.

We designed and built the channel letters on a raceway: MODERN URGENT CARE in two lines of charcoal capitals, with a red outlined cross on the left and a red bar running out from MODERN. At street level, each glass door carries the red cross logo and MODERN URGENT CARE in white vinyl, with COVID-19 Vaccine or COVID-19 Rapid Test above in red and the clinic's weekday and weekend hours below. The 5066 suite number runs across the transom above the doors.

A medical clinic's sign has to be straightforward: patients should know what the building is and that they've arrived. A clear name and symbol up high, with hours on the door, covers both.
