GK Mongolian BBQ

GK Mongolian BBQ opened in Suite 103 at Sunwest Plaza on West Kettleman Lane in Lodi, sharing a long tile-roofed frontage with Oh My Yogurt and GNC. In a shopping center full of lit signs, a new restaurant needs one that holds its own in the row, reads from the parking lot and the street, and advertises the place around the clock.

We fabricated 5-inch-deep aluminum channel letters with black returns, internally lit with LEDs. The faces are white acrylic with vinyl overlays for the brand colors: the winged logo in red and black, GK in red and MONGOLIAN BBQ in yellow. The wiring is housed in a raceway behind the fascia beam and powered through remote power supplies. The set runs across the fascia above the restaurant's windows, and our crew installed it from the bucket truck.

For a restaurant in a busy strip center, lit channel letters are the standard: they read clearly day and night, and the black returns give the letters a crisp dark profile from the side, where many drivers first see them.
