Gathering Place Church

Gathering Place Church meets in a storefront space in a Tracy shopping center, behind a long run of glass under a deep, flat-roofed walkway. The fascia above is tan stucco framed by gray trim bands, and the church's name and tree logo needed to read from the parking lot so first-time visitors could pick out the right door among the other tenants.

The sign spells Gathering Place in a flowing navy script, built as channel letters with white returns that outline each letter against the tan wall. The script is set large across most of the fascia, with the capital G and P rising above the rest of the line. To the left, the church's tree logo, a white trunk spreading into leaves in shades of green and teal, is cut as its own lit shape and sized to the height of the lettering, so the logo and name read together as one mark from across the lot.

Churches that meet in retail centers need the same thing any storefront tenant does: a sign that stands out from the neighbors and tells people they've arrived. Channel letters do that while carrying a congregation's own logo and lettering, and they can be lit for evening services.
