Flag City Truck Wash & Service

Flag City set out to stand apart from ordinary auto shops by offering truck and RV washing, tires, oil changes and lube in one stop. Its new facility on Capitol Avenue in Lodi is a pair of tan metal buildings with red trim on a wide open lot, so the signs had to read from the road, tell drivers what was offered, and send each rig to the right bay.

We produced and installed channel letter and flat-cut acrylic letter sets on the front and rear of the buildings. The channel letters have 5-inch-deep black returns, 3/4-inch black trim cap and white acrylic faces with blue vinyl overlays, lit by white LEDs on remote power supplies and mounted flush to the corrugated walls. Printed graphics went on 3M 180C vinyl with an 8518 laminate. The flat-cut acrylic letters were painted blue and mounted on Dibond backer panels painted to match the building.

We also printed a 120-by-560-inch banner on 13 oz material for the side of the wash building and built an aluminum post-and-panel sign to steer traffic in. On a big lot, a package like this works as a site map: one look tells a driver what the business offers and where to go.
